Magic
Magic is a combat skill in Runic Ages. It increases the amount of damage the player can inflict using magic weapons by 2.5 points per each Magic level and what types of magic weapons a player may wield.
A high Magic level means that players can wield better weapons and deal slightly more damage with magic weapons.
Runes
Magic relies heavily on runes, elemental stones imbued with runic energy. Therefore, training Runecrafting along with Magic may be beneficial. Spells have rune requirements to cast when holding magic weapons; consuming the runes during the spell casting.[1]

Spells
Spells in the Magic skill are classified by their type: Combat, Teleport and Skilling.[2]
Combat skills include offensive projectile spells, curse spells used to disable or weaken opponents, and support spells that benefit the caster. A player can set their mainhand projectile and offhand curse spell using the spell slots provided by Runic Ages.
Teleport spells include spells used to teleport home and are the smallest category with only one spell.
Skilling spells are non-offensive spells that aid the player in ways not directly related to combat and are further divided by enchantment and alchemy spells. Skilling spells can enchant jewelry for various benefits, transform bones into bananas, transform items into gold nuggets, superheat raw ore into bars, etc.
Gaining experience
Players may receive Magic experience during combat by pressing the R key and using the arrow keys to switch to the Magic experience split menu. All mobs give at least 25 Magic experience but specific mobs may give more or less.
Depending on how the player configures the XP split menu, XP received for Magic may also be divided to give XP for the Defense skills.
Equipment
A player's Magic skill determines what type of magic weapons they can wield. Higher-level weapons provide greater offensive stats than similar weapon types of a lower level, creating an incentive to keep the skill trained.
Defense also determines what Magic armor a player can equip and in some cases, Magic is also taken into consideration for armor requirements.
Temporary boosts
Magic Potions may be used to boost the Magic skill, providing a level increase of 1 + 8% of the skill.
